Hey everyone,
Just wondering about bringing my own stroller in the parks....I am really wanting to do this as opposed to renting one, however, when you park your stroller outside of attractions is their somewhere you can lock them up so that no one will steal my stroller???? Any advice would be greatly appreciated....Thanks so much. :confused3 :sunny:

When our DD was younger, we brought our own stroller on every trip (about 5). We never had a problem, but make sure you dont accidentaly leave anything of value in the stroller when you park it.

there is no place to lock up strollers.. everyone just leaves them out side the ride.. there is a specific stroller parking place for each ride... we have never had a problem and i have never heard of anyone on here having a problem with a stolen stroller...i just wouldnt leave anything of value in it allthough we have left our diaper bag and clothes many times with no problems

We had three of oru own strollers with us last March and even with the diaper bags and all in them they all survived with all our thigns (we didn't leave money or cameras)

Came back from MK last week and there were dozens and dozens of strollers parked outside of venues. Many were the rented units, but folks left their own strollers in the midst along the sidewalks. If anything a personal stroller will be easier to spot then the dozens of rentals that look alike, except for maybe a balloon or a blanket attached to it. No one seemed to mind leaving their strollers on the sidewalk.

We liked having our own stroller too. But I'd still tie something unique onto it because there will be lots of other Evenflos and Gracos there. I think the stroller parking areas are fairly well monitored by CMs, so you don't see much/any theft. I'll be honest-- I've even left my camera and camcorder buried under some jackets in the bottom before. I'm not suggesting you do that, but rather indicating how comfortable I was with leaving my stroller unlocked. Plus, CMs would probably frown upon you locking your stroller up because they're always reorganizing them while you're in the attraction. It's almost always in a different spot than where you left it. Another reason to tie something unique onto it.

Your stroller will be completely safe at WDW. Last June when we were there, my baby and I would go back to the resort to rest early in the afternoon while my husband and 2 older kids stayed at the parks. I couldn't manage the baby, diaper bag and stroller on my own so we would just find a place and park our stroller, it would be right where we left it when I returned to the park in the evening.

I am sure stroller theft does occur at WDW but I think I have only heard of maybe one case over the past 5-6 years here on the boards. We felt really comfortable leaving our stroller outside the attractions. The CM's will sometimes rearrange the strollers to make it easier for guests to maneuver around them but our stroller was never more than a few feet away from where we left it.

We've brought our Peg Perego and maclaren's to WDW for the past 5 years. We have never had any issues however we also have something on it to identify it - colorful bandana tie and balloons. CM's do move the strollers around outside the attraction. I remember outside playhouse disney I was glad we had something to identify our stroller in the sea of same colored ones.

I've taken our own stroller several times and not had any problem with it. We usually leave raincoats and such in it and have always come back to find them (even when it was raining).

I've had more trouble with the CMs moving them while you're in the show or ride to come back out and not find it where you parked it. That's a little scary the first time it happens. They will often move them closer to the exit, making room for new ones near the entrance or just move them closer together.

we also had the same experiences in leaving the strollers and stuff in the basket, no problems.
Others have suggested a bandana, bright tape or a balloon to mark yours so it stands out.
:flower: I had a light blue Pooh stroller and it stuck out like a sore thumb in the sea of Navy ones so it was very easy to find.

Hi!

I have a really good stroller that I paid a pretty penny for and I left the stroller, cameras souvenirs etc on the stroller while everyone went on the ride - nothing was ever touched. :sunny:

I'm won't say theft never happens, but WDW is probably the safest place to leave your stuff unattended! I am normally paranoid, but I feel completely comfortable leaving our stroller and non-valuable personal items to go on rides. And I have accidently left the camera in a few times without a problem. I don't think it is a false sense of safety...I think it may be a bit of Disney Magic! :earsboy:

Our stroller was safe and sound in Feb. We have a Jeep umbrella one, and I tie 2 lime green bandanas onto the handles so it stands out (and so maybe we can meet a fellow DISer too! :teeth: ) We never leave anything valuable in it though, we did witness someone discover their bag was stolen off of their stroller in Fantasyland. :( (But the stroller was still there with several other bags still on it!)

I think it's the Unofficial Guide that suggests bringing a plastic bag with a diaper in it, pour in a little rootbeer and attach the bag to the stroller handle. Bet nobody even goes near your stroller..............
