We are cruising the wonder the end of Sept. The earliest flight we can get puts us at MCo at 9:30 AM. I am scared to death, if there is a delay at the airport, we will miss the cruise. Any thoughts? :confused3

Arrive a day early...best advice given.....Do a search on this board, and there are horror stories...

any delay, mechanical, or weatherwise, and you literally miss the boat...

You should be fine. We went 2 weeks ago and our flight arrived at 9:10am...we got our rental car drove to Port Canaveral we were at the cruise terminal around 11:30am!

Have you purchased travel insurance just in case there is a delay?

Good luck!!!

I truly understand your worry. I flew in the day of the cruise, we worried the whole time until we landed at MCO. We were very lucky and everything went smoothly, however it did teach me lesson. I now fly in the day before to avoid all the stress. Now if we are delayed I don't have to panic!!

But you have left yourself enough room for delays, taking the first flight out in the morning was a wise choice!. Try not to stress and enjoy your vacation!!

Try to go the night before...no reason to stress on the what if....if you could just leave the night before...Plus you get to add a few additional hour to your vacation plans. Maybe get a chance to have a pre cruise meet with fellow Dissers...Have a nice relaxing day going to the treminal...and one of the bigger bonuses of going the night before...is your not totally beat from traveling all day long.

Our flight doesn't arrive at MCO until 11:59am. We booked our air though DCL. We probably will book our own air next time. Oh well, at least Disney is responsible for us if we miss the ship... we bought their insurance too.

Just got back from the 3/12 - 3/19/05 western and our flight out was suppose to leave Ohio at 5:40 a.m. but due to 2" of snow that night it took an hour to de-ice the plane and we had 15 minutes between flights in Charlotte. We were sweating it. DCL made the arrangements so I don't know what would have happened but as it turned out, we made our connections and arrive at MCO on time. We were at the terminal by 11:30 and on the ship by 12:20. It worked out well for us but next time I think I would go the day before. It was stessful worrying about making the flight in Charlotte.

I too am in the fly in a day early camp. Relieves you of all the stress and what ifs. If that is not possible you should be ok, but you just never know. Don't mean to scare you, but as mentioned above there are horror stories and I too have a story. Day before is our itinerary for now on.

Jen in MA...I think your safe...if Disney booked your air...they know where you are and make sure you get to the ship.

Another vote for flying in the day before. Much less stress and you are rested the next day when you get on the ship!! :flower:
