Safari Celebration dinner and the Magical Fireworks Voyage

Do you have to have a minumum to do this stuff thru Magical Gatherings.


I will only have 4 adults, and one child, but would like to set it up because gradparents will be in tow for Spring break, and things will be crowded....

And the illuminations dessert things...

How do I find out?

I recently called for information. You need 8 minimum, and children under 3 don't count. In other words, they want 8 paying customers!

The Fireworks Voyage takes place on Saturday and Monday. The cost is $24.99/adult and $11.99/child. It leaves from the Conetmporary and the number of people on the boat is limited to 25 (I'm pretty sure on this number). Dessert is before the cruise, and Captain Hook and Mr. Smee are there to greet you. At one point during the cruise, they take the kids in the back of the boat and tell them the story of Peter Pan. When you get back, Peter Pan is supposed to greet you with Tinker Bell in a lantern!

The International Dinner and IllumiNations Dessert Reception takes place on Monday and Friday at the Odyssey Restaurant in Epcot. They have a section around the World Showcase cordoned off for the desserts and your viewing pleasure. The cost is $59.99/adult and $19.99/child.

Reservations are made 90 in advance through Member Services. If you're a DVC member, you make the reservations through DVC.

Also, the Good Morning Gathering is on Tuesday and Saturday. It's $24.99/adult and $11.99/child. The Safari Celebration Dinner is $59.99/adult and $19.99/child. I don't have the days for this event.

I was told by a CM that the children have to be 3. Mine will be 2 1/2 and I offered to pay for him to make 8 in our party and I was told no. This was for the Safari. I may call back and talk to someone else.

We paid for a 2 1/2 yo to make our 8th person on the fireworks journey last Feb.
