*Sad Thread* Doggie

Well today my dog, Patches, went to the vet. A while ago he had a cesar at about 5am and we had to RUSH to the animal hospital. They put him on medication. Well long story short yesterday he had another mini cesar. It lasted about 5sec. maybe.? After that he had his tonge out of his mouth, couldn't really eat and it looked liked he was all numb in the mouth.
Well we took him to the vet, they took x-rays, and gave him a spinal tap. (They had to numb him before of course) Well they don't know what had caused it. My dad isn't sure if he ate something bad while he was outside since we live in the woods or maybe he had a stroke or the cesar could have paralyized half of his face. I am just sooo sad. We have to take him to two vets sometime in the next week. Good luck little guy! (he is 3 years old)

I'm sorry.

One of my dog's has something wrong with her that causes her to have seizures every once in a while. Its scary but what can we do?

My other dog is really old and shes been so sick a couple times, we've rushed her to the vet. But shes ok now.

Hope he's ok!

My dog has been having seizures for about 3 years as a result of her blood disease, or the brain damage she got from medication for the blood disease. She has them about once a month, now.
The first time she had one we had to bring her to the emergency vet, where she had to stay for a week.
Its probably not the exact same thing, but I definately know how you feel.

aw i'm sorry

by dog jaz got rushed to the vet when he was 12 with heart murmur. because of his heart they could only perform one operation on him(the operation would weaken his heart), we used this at 12. 3 years later and he's developed cancer. he needs a life saving operation but he's not fit for anesthetic. we had him put down. he was 15 had cancer, heart murmur a limp blind and deaf he was a sorry state really.

totally different but still i know how you feel. hopefully your dog will make it though

We have to take him to an Orlando vet next week. This is a vet (hospital?) that you have to have a referral to go to. Well our vet now thinks that its a brain disease or nervous system. I thought having a seizure messed up his nerves? Well they took x-rays and a spinal tap like I said and they didn't see anything unusual so that's why were going to the one in Orlando.
