Sad save Disney photo essay.

So sad...I hope Roy and Stanley save Disney...:(

It's things like that link that make me hate the jerk even more.

i don't quite understand. are we mad because it wasnt busy?? just wondering i dont want to sound dumb but i dont have a clue why having to not wait in line would be a bad thing. could someone explain so i can be mad at eisner for something else too?? ;) :teeth:

That's odd. If you read the Disneyland boards, there's lots of talk about how busy DCA is since the opening of TOT.

I'd be more apt to believe the reports from actual visitors than still photos from a website that has an obvious ax to grind.

All though I love the Savedisney site...
I must agree everyone on the disneyland board has been saying it has been busier since TOT opened:confused: .
I hope it looks like that when we are there in a little over a week!;)

I agree with most of the stuff on savedisney, but in this case I think they are going out of their way to make things look bad. Showing the watch, to let us see how quickly they made it through the line, made it kind of obvious that there was more to the photo essay than an innocent trip to DCA. For all we know they had to wait all day, or go back multiple times to get a really light crowd like that.

Hmmm...maybe we should plan a quick trip over a long weekend this summer? If the crowds are low, we can get our Disney-fix we so need this summer. <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_2_115.gif' border=0></a>

Honestly, if you go to the MGM ToT and they aren't using all the lines, you can take a picture of a roped off line area that is empty as well. Who knows. Just a thought.

I've never been to DL or DCA and those pictures make me really want to go, I need to plan a trip there, it looks really cool.:teleport:

Perhaps Mr. Disney and Mr. Gold should put up slide-shows that highlight all of the significant achievements that they have made to help the Walt Disney Company.

Oh, wait, they have none.

While I am by no means a fan of Eisner, Disney and Gold offer nothing to "Save Disney" as they put it. They actually had good things to say about Comcast during the whole merger ordeal?! Does that mean they were even willing to entertain the idea of selling out Disney? They want to salvage a Disney-Pixar deal at any cost? At any cost to Disney? Sorry folks, Disney has been in the animation business for 77 years! When Pixar hits that, then perhaps we'll talk.

I'm sorry, but Eisner cannot be blamed for eveything. The slide show takes one park, on one day, and low attendence should be blamed on Eisner?

If I recall, many Disney parks have faced challenges in their early years of operation. Disney-MGM, Disney's Animal Kingdom, even EPCOT.

Disney and Gold need to move on.

Holy smokes ThreeCircles! Bravo!

I've often felt the same way whenever I've seen anyone on this or any other board who blames Eisner in a knee jerk reaction. I'm in no way a fan of his, nor do I support him, but I certainly don't blame him for absolutely everything that is wrong with Disney.

Your post was right on in my opinion. Well said.

When I see short lines, it makes me WANT to go - not the other way around.

You really should go if you get a chance. I love DLR :D

ThreeCircles... very well said!
What was Superstar Limo?
It was a dark ride that placed you in a limo driving through LA to get to an audition. I got to ride it once and it was very lame and slow moving. The story I heard is that the ride was originally supposed to be a fast moving ride, that had you running from the paparazzi. While the ride was on the drawing board, Princess Diana was killed. So as not to appear insensitive, the Imagineers changed the ride to the slow moving version and ruined any chance it had of success. Rumors have it coming back in a different form, or a totally new ride being put in that building eventually.

Speaking of Superstar Limo, someone posted a thread on the DL board with a link to a video of the ride in case anyone wants to see what they missed (or didn't miss).

Well, since I leave next Friday for my Disneyland/DCA vacation, I'm not sorry to see light crowds!

SSLimo is made up of cardboard cut-out figures! Very tacky!

We were in Disneyland/DCA the week before Memorial Day and I found it crowded certain times of day and light other times of day, in both parks. The Hollywood backlot at DCA was a ZOO when we were there much of the time. RIGHT at opening, or before closing it was not so crowded.
