i just found out my good friend has less then a 20% chance of surviving a year (i'm not sure if its that long). I knew he had cancer, but he went to meet with some doctors today and they told him his chances. I was just wondering if people could send prayers and pixie dust his way. I'll spare everyone the details, but it does sound bleak, and even if he does survive it sounds like they'll be quality of life issues. I don't know when the surgery is set for but i know they are doing both the lungs and the lower region at the same time, and following it up with chemo.

It's so sad that I feel like I'm praying for more and more acquaintances (and their family members) lately with cancer of some sort.
