Sad News

like several others, I saw this news on FB and it drew me back here, where I've always found strength, support, and camaraderie. Robert was always so encouraging, whether it was a supportive cheer on the course in 100 degree weather, a post of encouragement here, a knowing wave across the park as I limped past him post race in my WISH shirt, or just a friendly reminder that a race was filling up and it was time to get my butt in gear and register...

Hard to believe two vibrant people can be wiped away, just like that. So senseless and overwhelmingly sad.

Robert helped me out over the years here with many questions I had regarding the races.A tribute at the start this weekend would be wonderful.

So very Sad. I took some pictures "backstage" at the 2010 Disneyland 1/2 marathon. I noticed Riobert was in several wearing his ever presnt kilt. I sent him an email and the pics I had of him. Got to know him a bit. My thoughs & prayers to his family.
