Well the man tinkering on the computer in his garage on Spaceship Earth is rumored to be Steve Jobs, no?

I have also heard this several times, not sure if it's rumor or not. Well for any reason, for today at least, I will think of that animatronic as him, and remember his great mind & Disney connections next time I ride it.

And for this reason alone I don't think this thread is off topic at all!

I am on board with all those that think posting about Steve Jobs (RIP) is very RELIVANT! If you are a true disney fan you would know that Steve was a very important part of what we all enjoy today. He is arguably one of the most important men of our lifetimes. He was not much different than Walt himself and when I think of WDW I do think of Steve Jobs. Especially when it comes to Pixar and the movies our kids watch and love. Actually lets all take a step back and think about this while we type on our IPADs, or Iphones, or Mac books, or any PC for that matter...if it wasn't for this man...the disboards and all we know today may not even excist. No matter the importance a man is dead and that's nothing we should be disrespectful about. Good bye Mr. Jobs. I hope you are no longer in pain and your family can heal and the world can remember what a visionary you were. RIP.

None of that has nothing to do with theme park attractions or strategy.

Never once at the parks when debating riding a ride have I wondered how Steve was doing.

Do we post on here about deaths when anyone else who changed the world dies?

I'd hope you wouldn't. Unless all of a sudden I became a ride at WDW. Now if Steve Jobs was a flying elephant you'd have all the right to post.

I've been using Mac computers since the late '80s. Never used another brand. Steve Jobs was such an innovator, such a visionary. His Apple products were unique, and his company seemed to be attuned to meeting modern peoples' needs. His stuff was fun to use, maybe that says it all.
