We stopped at the Natick, MA Disney Gallery Store yesterday, on the way home from four lovely days in N.H. (you are a couple of lucky people, Nat & Sandy) and after purchasing a few pins and some odds and ends, Nancy, the store manager, told us that the store, at it's present location, would be closing on March 15th. It will no longer be a "Gallery" store and will move into the Natick Mall, set to reopen in October 2003, as a "good, old-fashioned" Disney Store. We'll be very sorry to see this store close and have to wait six months to see the new one open.

I'm sorry to hear that. The Niatick store was a very nice store. Now it will be nothing more than a Disney toy store in the mall...

Robert Frost said it best: "Nothing gold can stay".:(

Thank you.. We like it here. In fact it is windy and cold today but nature has a way off moving snow that is breath taking.... All the drifts are smooth and flowing.

I had heard of the Natick store closing as well. I wonder if they will have a sale!!!

Looks like it might be time for a road trip. I was thinking of heading up that way next weekend. Guess it is time to find a local store that carries the WDCC. I do like to see the peices before purchasing them. The closest DS that has has the WDCC is in NYC. Not the easiest place to get to!

Wow, I can't believe the Gallery Store is closing. I am a transplanted BayStater and worked with some of the CM's there (at another store)before my move to MI. I guess the upside to this is that the store isn't closing altogether like has happened at the Cambridgeside Galleria, Faneuil Hall and Arsenal Mall (just to name a few).

I'm sure glad I got to see this store when it was a Gallery Store. I have no idea what Disney is thinking when it comes to the Disney Stores :(.

I can't believe taht this store will not be a Gallery Store any more. There are only 4 other stores in the chain that carry that stuff, and one of them cannot be accessed by regular guests (the studio store).

Someone had posted a thread awhile back in regards to the Gallery stores closing topic, and posted an address where you could write a letter to upper mgmt. I will post that address again:

Disney Store, Inc.
