Sad day in the neighborhood-- Mr. Rogers...

That's so sad. My girls grew up watching him.

A sad day in our 'neighborhood'. A truly wonderful, caring man.

I grew up watching that show. Then both kids loved him when they were young. So sad:( .

Oh no!!! :( What will happen to King Friday and the gang in the neighborhood??

That is sad. What a wonderful man who got joy out of simple things.

What a truly wonderful "neighbor" he was to me growing up and in my childrens lives.

My sympathies to his family.

God Speed Mr. Rogers.

how sad...

i grew up watching him and always loved the "land of make believe"...

god bless mr. rogers...

Very sad. My kids loved his show. He was such a wonderful man and had a very special way with children. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. God Bless.

He spoke at a National PTA convention that I attended. What a gentle soul he was, and he so loved children.

Very sad.:( :( :( :(

The world is better for having had Mr Rogers neighborhood for so many years. God bless, and thank you, Fred.

That is very sad. :( I watched his show for years when I was little. I didn't even known he was ill. At least he lived a long, fullfilling life.

I cried when I heard this sad news this morning. Fred Rogers was such a gentle and caring man, I had the opportunity to hear him speak a few years ago - his message was very simple but very real. He really knew how to relate to children.

He will be missed. :(

:( RIP, Mr. Rogers.

I didn't watch his show very much. I was into Sesame Street and Captain Kangaroo when I was a kid. But Mr. Rogers seemed like a man that really loved kids and loved helping kids learn.

He seemed like a genuine kind soul. Very sad indeed. :(

This is indeed a sad day..on our honeymoon trip to WDW in 2000..we met him in person!!..got his picture and his autograph..he was in the airport terminal at our gate..and was on the plane with us..he was surrounded by a group of cheerleaders also heading to WDW and was the nicest, friendliest person..just as you would imagine him to be from his show..he signed autographs..took pictures, shook hands..reached out to every little child around him..he will surely be missed..especially in this world where the good people only come around once in awhile..Fred Rogers was one of the best!
Rest in peace Fred, may God Bless you and your family!!!

Quiet tears... for a kind, loving gentleman. He had a inner glow that showed right thru!
To me he exemplified "goodness and kindness to others"
He will be truly missed.
