Just heard on the TV that Tug McGraw passed away, from the brain cancer he was diagnosed with about two years ago.

I use to work for the Phillies as one of the "Hot Pants Girls" (Philly folks will know who they are) while I was in college. It was the best job a girl could have. I had the opportunity to meet many VIP's and the players. Tug was always a great guy, funny and very personable. On a number of occasions I escorted players on the field for different ceremonies, Tug being one of them. I was there the night they won the world series and it was a memorable evening when after the first out that Tug made the poice started to come onto the field, and then with the second out the mounted police started to come out. The third out when they won the series and he raised his arm in the air in victory. It was unreal

Also heard the Paul Owens also died over the weekend.

Just heard this too as a news flash while watching tv. So sad.:(

I have always loved Tugger, he's always been (and always will be) my favorite ball player. I've been a fan of his for nearly 25 years now. I was actually on the phone with my parents in Philly (well, the Delco burbs) when my dad yelled out, "Oh No, Tugger just died!" :( He was a great player, a great person, and an inspiration to all of us.

RIP Tugger, I love ya, and I'll always believe!
