From a very reliable source....

*********************************************
Yesterday around 2pm, Lights, Motors, Action and the
Backlot Tour were shut down for several hours.

This was because an emergency evacuation helicopter landed in
the Lights, Motors, Action stadium. A little later a castmember
working in the backstage areas of DHS was loaded in to the helicopter
and taken to a local hospital.

Apparently his/her injuries were severe. No news yet about the nature of the injury.
***********************************************

Let's put our Dis Mojo to work and send positive thoughts and prayers and Pixie Dust to this Cast Member for a full and speedy recovery.

Definitely sending positive thoughts and prayers to the castmember.

Prayers being uplifted as I type. Please someone keep us updated if you hear anything...

Always sad to hear about anyone being hurt, especially cast members who help to create the magic. I think that attraction is, inherently, risky. It's not the first time someone has been injured there. I will add him/her to my prayers.

Ah, so very sad! Definitely saying a few prayers for the CM.

Sayhello

i don't think it had to do with that show that the only place the helicopter could land. Their was some reports that it had nothing to do with the show that it was cm but didn't say what the cm did at disney or what happened. I thinking it might be a heart attack or something like that because it just to weird that none of the florida news are saying anything. It a big deal to land a helicopter in disney so at least you think they say something but nothing yet.

Sending good thoughts and prayers.....

Very sad to hear. It seems like there have been numerous injuries associated with this attraction...

I don't recall hearing much about injuries from this particular show before. With that being said, my immediate thought that it was a backstage cast member who was not necessarily working in this area. It sounds as if the helicopter needed a place to land and to do so quickly.

Whether CM or guest, sending healing energy their way and comforting thoughts to the family. How frightening for the people involved, and whoever saw it - an uncommon sight at Disney to be sure. :sad1:

Many prayers and good wishes coming from myself and Keith....

Although, personally speaking, I think that show has long since run it's course. (Pardon the pun)

I see NO reason for CM's (properly trained, as they are) to risk their lives on a daily basis.

(Just my humble opinion)
