 just been confirmed Typhoon Lagoon is definately going under rehab at the end of October, so I'm supposing it'll still be closed during November when my party are going, so disappointed as I really wanted to swim with the sharks again and last years experience was my sons first time snorkelling - now he loves it and insists on snorkelling everywhere we holiday

Doesn't it close this time of the year, every year? Closed thro' Christmas when it swaps with Blizzard Beach me thinks. ::MickeyMo

I thought it was BB that was rehabing from Oct 23 through mid-Dec, and then TL would be closing, this year..

Apparently, but last year it was open and closed early this year (probably due to the new ride being installed) but by that time I'd booked already for this year on the basis that we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves there at the same sort of time last year. This was in the days before my Dis board knowledge so we kept hoping that 'cos it had already shut once this year then it wouldn't shut again

WOW Stella, amazing, I've been looking at the Dis board park opening times and the last 2 or 3 days of October showed TL as shut
please please please be right!! :wizard:
thanks Stella

I know I keep double checking but the day we hit the first water park, I will be asking someone in person. We are there till the 27th Oct and I know one of the parks is due to close 23rd. :cool1:

The Disney website opening hours for Bizzard Beach show that it closes on October 23rd - or something like that... I've been watching for news of closures as I really want to do the new slides at TL!! I'm wondering if the Dis board is still showing October 04 times?

on the dibb website, it shows that typhoon is open and bb is shut for rehab from the 23rd oct 2005!

I hope the park ends up being opened for you Carol, fingers crossed.

Thanks bev, although after my initial disappointment I did an emergency sales course to myself about the advantages of BB and have (kind of ) sold it to me now

I hope that TL is open for you too. The new ride "Crush n Gusher" is awesome. My husband and I spend virtually an entire day riding it nonstop. Banana blaster is the fastest slide of the three, but it is the only one where only 2 people \may ride together. The other two slides will accept people riding in a three.

Wow, did you really enjoy it that much? Personally I was a little disappointed with it. I agree that the slide which only allows 2's is definitely the best, but I thought they were all a little too short and unexciting. Another thing we found was that whilst the line for the 2-seater double ring was about 15 to 20 minutes, you could get a 3-seater straight away.

I hope TL is open for you Carol, it's our favourite waterpark too :)

Thanks Frances, we soooo enjoyed it last year, really made our whole stay become more relaxing and stopped us getting 'all parked out'

just got back and TL new ride we must have ridden it all day each time we visited did TL4 times and BB 2 times would do TL to do CG and wave pool all day going to bed now as starting to get tired after long flight
Paulh
we thought pineapple was the fastest

Bit confused, the crush & gusher rides with 3 seaters, can 2 people still go on them or does it have to be 3 at all times?

Crush "n" Gusher consists of three slides. All three accept the 2-seater tubes, but only two of them accept the three seater tubes as well.

Carol, I thought you were going to say you couldn't go on holiday when I saw the title of this topic!

I've never been to Typhoon Lagoon as it's always seems to have been closed on my past visits. I'm looking forward to trying it out on our next visit :earsboy:
