Not sure -but last year when we stayed at BCV there was some "fenced" area in SAB that was being repaired/rehab? is this done or still ongoing? :wave2:

Checked out of BCV this morning. Yes, part of SAB is closed. The shallow end for kids, and the middle deep water loop section are both open. The largest portion of the pool with the slide is what's closed. I thought I heard that it would reopen sometime in March. But as of this morning, they seemed to be slowly putting water back in the pool. There was maybe a foot of water in the pool, when at the beginning of the week it was dry.

Yes, I don't know the exact date, but I think it should be done with rehab in less than a month. -- from what I remember reading.

I thought I saw that it would be completed by Feb 25th....lets hope its true....

That is what I heard, all of it besides the slide should be done now and the slide should be done Feb 25. That is the day we arive. I sure hope so.

At least the kiddy section is open, since that is the part we will use the most.

What is SAB like? Does it have a wave pool? We are trying to decide where to stay next.

No wave pool. Part of the pool area has a sandy bottom. There is a slow lazy river section, but it's not very big. There is also a slide. The pool has several sections, some rock features, sometimes a vollyball net, a few bridges, and a whirlpool area. There used to be a sinking sands area, but it hasn't worked in quite a while. It really doesn't match any of the water parks, not even close. But if you have toddlers, the sandy bottom in the shallow pool area is wonderful.

Sounds like a big pool with lots of sections. Is the slide big? We liked the slides at SSR when we toured. We are staying at BW in March, the slide there looks really cool.
Thanks for the info. on SAB.

Yes, the slide is big. It starts out on a separate pool shaped like a ship and the slide goes in a tube across the beach walkway. Here, check out these pictures"

What an amazing pool. This is one we can't pool hop to from the boardwalk, right? I wish we were staying there in March, the kids would LOVE the pool. But now we know where we want to stay next March. Thanks for all the great info. and pictures.
