SAB Renovations?

I've seen some noise on other forums about renovations taking place at Stormalong Bay. Does anyone know what's going on and how long it will last?

We complained about the renovations going on at SAB during our August stay to the recreation coordinator out at the pool. We were not pleased with the jack hammering that was going on over the store in front of the sinking sands. I wouldn't have minded a day or two but we were there for 2 weeks and it went on every day but Sunday for about 10 days. The recreation manager said that the renovations should be over mid October. The jackhammering is probably over by now, the scaffolding didn't bother us but the jackhammering did. However I understand that renovations must take place sooner or later. I wouldn't say it ruined our stay in any way but it did make it difficult to take a nap outside under the sun.

... and while there is still scaffolding, we didn't hear any jackhammering. I was told by a cm that this is the time of year that they always do any needed repairs to SAB, so I guess we were just lucky!! I am relieved that we missed the jackhammering phase, however -- that must have been very bothersome... Ugh!!
