Hi everyone,
It will be our 1st trip to the Beach Club. Can you bring your own tubes or do you have to rent them? Also DS is a good swimmer with his bubble, what are the restrictions on the large slide? TIA:)

I am not sure about the tubes.I know you can bring your own floaties for the little ones.In order to use the big slide you need to know how to swim.No swimmies, floaties or life jackets. You also must slide alone( 2 people can not go at once)

You may bring your own tubes etc but as your little one using bubbles down the slide will not be permitted. And if you decide to send him and wait at the bottom you can only wait behind the rope which is very close by....When we went July 2007 my DS6 (now 7) Went down the tube a couple of times with them but then was asked to take them off:

When we went back Dec 2007 he didn't need them because he has been taking lessons so he was comfortable going down the slide. We are headed back in 17 days and he's and Ol' Pro now:lmao:

DS who was 3 in June of 2007 wore his armies down the flying jib at SAB. I asked prior to him sliding and they said he was fine. We had many different lifeguards in our weeks visit.

I think I remember not being allowed to have an infatable boat for my nephew when he was 6 mos old a few years ago.

The official rule is no floaties/water wings for the big slide. Some lifeguards may let you, but I wouldn't get my childs hopes up. It's a big slide, dark tunnels and moves fast. Children need to be able to swim to the side after coming off the slide. There is a smaller kiddie slide for kids who aren't ready for the big one :goodvibes

As far as the rest of the pool, you can use your own noodles in the lazy river, but not rafts or tubes. They rent those at the pool and only allow the clear ones for safey reasons.

Our DD loved the little kids' slide until she was old enough and big enough to go down the big slide. She could swim well long before she was comfortable going down the big slide since she had to go alone. There is plenty to keep your child busy at SAB, just in case he cant go down the big slide.

Thanks for the info! Does anyone know a definte answer about bringing your own tube? We will be there for 10 nights and it would get expensive to rent for a family of 4. I was thinking of buying the crear round tubes at WalMart if they allow you to use your own.

I did see people brings their own noodles so I say you can bring your own tube as long as it is clear.

You can take a tube but they may not let you use it in the lazy river area of SAB.

DD7 always takes a tube with her and we've never had a problem - they even sell children's tubes at the hotel. She doesn't use it in the lazy river part though as that area is very deep, especially for children. It's not like the lazy river at TL or BB where you can stand up and touch bottom. DD18 and her friends occassionally rent a tube but honestly, it sits on the side most of the time. Noodles are inexpensive and work just as well for us.

You could always buy your tubes and take them along but ask first before opening them for an "official" ruling. That way, if you couldn't use them you could return them with the receipt when you got home for a refund.
