Hi we are staying at BC next year, I am a bit concerned about the pool, as I have read it is very deep in parts. I have a 6 year old, who enjoys swimming and is still using Armbands, so likes to be in water which has a bit of depth. However I can't swim so the water needs to be shallow enough for me to stand in with her while she swims so I can be with her at all times. I know they is kiddies areas however my DD will want it to be a bit deeper, I guess around 3 - 4 feet. Is there any good areas for this?

I think the Poly pool would be better for us however we want to stay near epcot

In most places it's 3 ft, 9 inches, or 4 ft. in one place it's 5 ft. and it's clearly marked. the part that is 8 ft deep is the lazy river, and you have to get out of the water and cross over to get to it. There is also a section that is roped off that tells you that you'd be entering the lazy river area. Even the huge slide dumps out into 3ft. nine or 4 ft water.

I don't think you'll have a problem. Stromalong Bay is bigger than the poly pool so you'll have to be a little vigilant watching, just keep her in the shallow area.

The center portion of the pool area is where it is deeper. If you try to walk over to the hot tub that is centrally located between the two resorts (YC/BC) it gets rather deep over there. The lazy river area where it gets very deep with a very strong current (hard to walk against it away from the deep water) is not really separated from the other areas of the pool. Just one reason why I don't like SAB.

The area from where the slide exits to the walkover bridge is full of activity - sinking sands, the slide, etc. Then you have the deeper areas and it transitions to the shallower area closer to the YC. The kiddie areas are very shallow, less the one or two feet.
