How is the new Stitch ride? Could I take a 1 year-old on it? Any parts that would scare a 3 year-old? I'm trying to figure out if it's a ride we should pass on or not.

Also, at the Living Seas, is there a way to bypass the intro. movie clip and go straight to the aquarium? We're taking our preschooler and infant who both love fish, but if I don't have to make them sit through the educational intro., I won't.

Thanks for the advice!

I haven't actually been on Stitch myself, but a friend of mine told me about it. She told me the ride is basically Alien Encounter with Stitch instead of the alien. The ride takes place in the dark and there are loud sounds, blowing air, smells, etc. Very much like It's Tough to be a Bug.

Knowing this, I know my 8 yr old DS would not like that ride, so we will not be going on it unless he has a sudden change in attitude and lots of warnings.

My guess is that it would be too intense for a 3yr old - but, like everything, it depends on the child.

The Living Seas is not scary at all.

Have a great time!! :teeth:

Re: Living seas.

You can bypass the show by going over to the hydrolators, I think on the left side as you go in. There is an announcement about missing the show but you can always ask a CM. Don't miss Turtle Talk with Crush when you are there, it is great!!

Juliesue,

I'm glad I asked because I would have thought that the Stitch ride would have been aimed toward young kids -- guess Disney must have put too much money into Alien Encounter to scrap it entirely. I had been on Alien Encounter before, so we WON'T be taking the kids on Stitch.

Momo3hods,

Thanks! The kids will love seeing the fish and other sea creatures. I wish I'd realized on our last trip that we didn't have to watch the intro. in order to enter the aquarium -- it sure eats up a lot of time when the kids only get more tired as the day goes on!
