Hi RweTHEREyet!
I recognize you from DVC!!
I've been a customer of ING since January after having learned about it here!
I love it! I put in $20 a month automatically each month. I referred my immediate family and a couple of DISers way back in January...and I also put some tax money in and I've got a good little 'rainy day' fund going!!
You can refer your whole family, including kids. You can use the same checking for all and deposit as little as $1. in each. You will have to verify your account (could take a couple of days) but meanwhile you can already refer others. You can also use the same email address for your whole family as well.
Once you transfer money IN to ING, they will hold it for 7 days before they will let you take it back out.
Any bonus money you make will also be held for 30 days, after the 30 days, you can transfer it all out if you wanted and close your account, but I wouldn't do that if I were you!
There are no fees whatsoever! The rate is 2.10%
The maximum amount you can get with one account is $250 for 25 referrals but you can also do referrals with your DH and kids accounts as well. Those referral bonuses are on top of the $25 for each account.
When you want to transfer money OUT, it can take up to 3 or 4 days to see it but it averages 2 days. Longer if you go over a weekend.
If you do open an account for children, they must be the primary account holder and you'd be the secondary. The accounts will be joint and you won't have to verify your account again with minors.
All the bonus money is considered interst.
I can't think of anything else right now! HOpe this helps! If you want a referral, all you have to do is PM someone privately with your first and last name and your email address and you're good to go!
PS... if you have Microsoft money they offer a $50 bonus!
Take care!
