I just started checking out the Poly for our July trip, (I don't know why I have always looked over this resort). I have noticed that there seem to be alot of people that get discounts on the garden view concierge, but have noticed much in the way of LV. Is this true or am I just missing those post somewhere?
Though concierge would be great, I think with a little one with us on this trip(who doesn't last as late), the view of the fireworks is going to be more important to us. From what I have looked at it seems that the next best longhouse would be Tahiti, if the concierge lv doesn't come through. Any thoughts, ideas or other information I should take into account?
By the way my DS will be 13 for that trip and my grandson will have just turned 3. So it has been awhile since we have had little one with us at the World.
Thanks for listening to me ramble!

Hi,

Discounts should be available for concierge lagoon view. I rec'd one the past few years ... and just booked for next year with a AAA discount. This past summer we had the FTP for lagoon view. Concierge is in the Hawaii building which is convenient to everything -- right next to pool, beach and very close to GCH. And the view of the castle is wonderful.

Tahiti ... another lagoon view option is pretty secluded and quite a walk to the pool and GCH. However you are a close walk to the monorail at the ticket and transportation center.

Hope that helps.

That does help. I forgot all about AAA. Maybe I will see if there are rooms for our dates. Are the AAA rates out for the whole year?
Is there a lot of people traffic by the Hawaii building?
Thanks again!

Pam,

I'm not sure if the rates are out for the whole year. I called about 10 days ago and got AAA Lagoon view conceirge for July14-22 next year.

I haven't found the traffic at the Hawaii bldg to be nuisance. We've always requested a first floor room and even on that level the 'noise' factor has not been a concern. I like the short distance to the pool ... b/c we spend a lot of time at the resort relaxing at the pool, etc.

Also, with a three year old you will find the Hawaii bldg convenient to everything ... and conceirge lounge is great too.
