I need help with info on excursion for the disabled. There doesn't seem to be much info on the net about this. I have limited mobility and use a cane & scooter. Onboard I will have no problem but in port I don't know what to do. Does anyone know any good excursion on the western cruise. If I can't take my scooter are there some that do not have alot of walking. Any suggestions or help is GREATLY Appriciated.

We travel with my friend Steve who has muscular dystrophy & uses a large power wheelchair with vent. attached. We went on The 7 Day Western Cruise this past July with Steve & he had a great time! Steve isn't able to do any excursions but he went with us to Key West & Cozumel & Castaway Cay. At Grand Cayman you have to use tender boats, but they are not accessible(Steve cannot get out of his wheelchair but if you can transfer to a seat you could probably go) The only excursion we did was snorkeling at Stingray City in Grand Cayman... I went with the kids & we loved it.. Steve stayed on board with my sis. You may want to check the DISABILITIES forum for more info on which excursuions are accessible...Enjoy your cruise!!
