I was wondering if someone that has stayed in a 1 bedroom at AKL kidani can tell me if a blow up mattress would fit on the floor in the livingroom with the pull out couch being used at the same time? my kids don't want to share so I'm hoping if there is room on the floor a blow up mattress that would fix our problems? if so, what size? twin? full?

thanks for the help

I checked, there is a sleeper chair. Not sure of the size. My teenage DGDs used it but not as tall as your boys.

I found this......The pull out sleeper chair is just as long as a typical twin bed, but it is approximately 7-8 inches narrower. My teenagers are on the smaller side and they fit comfortably. In fact, they usually fight over who gets to sleep there since it means they don’t have to share a bed with their sibling. As a small adult myself, I think I would also be comfortable. However, a larger adult might find it a bit narrow.

Hope that helps.

if the boys feel they want more space will a blow up mattress fit on the floor if we only use the pull out couch

Yes, it should fit in the space in front of the pull out chair. BTW my dad slept on that same type of chair at BLT when he was 85 years old and said it was very comfortable.

The pull-out from the large chair is actually about twin-size. If not used, a blow-up twin size would fit in the space next to the balcony doors. Even if you use the chair bed, you could probably still put a twin-size blow-up mattress in the Kidani living room area, either next to the balcony doors or near the couch on the side closest to the kitchen area You should probably look at some of the Kidani one bedroom room tours on YouTube to get an idea of allowed space in the living room area.

That would not result in "more space," it would result in decidedly less space.

I think she may be concern with the chair being narrower than a twin bed , the twin size air mattress would give more sleeping space, not concern about floor space.

If they don't want to split the twin chair and the pull-out, you could also consider switching them to the King bed. I mean, they aren't paying for the room (I assume as teenagers :earsboy:), but that thing is massive. I'm not sure who else is traveling with you.

I'm 6'1" and 250 lbs and I've slept on the chair no problem (got kicked out of the Master for snoring). The 5'8" teenager will fit just fine.

The chair imo is more comfortable than the pull out couch. Hope they will keep the chair at Kidani and BLT whenever the refurbs happen. I believe the chair has a larger weight limit which would allow it to accommodate more people than the pull down twin that is at SSR, RVA, VGF, PVB. As an added bonus it is still a chair! :)
