S/O... When, approximately, does your school year end?

Thursday before Memorial Day. School started today. Our ISD is on a new schedule this year, with the earlier start and end dates. I'm pretty happy about it. Before, the kids got out the Thursday after Memorial Day and it seemed like such a waste for the elementary since they don't have final exams like the HS and JH.

End of June. This year it was June 23.

All of New York State is around the same because all public high school students take state-wide standardized tests called Regents exams, that they must pass to graduate. The Regents exams, given on the same days/times to everyone in the state, take place the second and third weeks in June, so school cannot end before then (except for some private schools that are exempt--which I just found out about recently).
