Clearly, there's a much wider variety due to different breeds, but what kind of dog do you have and how much does he/she weigh?

We have a black lab/great dane mix (at least that's what the vet thinks, he was an SPCA rescue). He's pretty skinny, like danes usually are, but still weighs about 75lbs. When standing on his hind legs, he's about as tall as me (5'9"), he's a big boy. :dogdance:

I have a Chug - Chihuahua and Pug mix. She's about 17 pounds. She's a rescue. Her mother's owners wanted the pups aborted so they could keep their purebred Pug for breeding purposes. My pup and her sisters were born that night. The mom was surrendered to the rescue because she was "ruined". I have had quite a few dogs but this one has the greatest personality. She has a Pug face on a Chihuahua head and a Pug body but Chihuahua legs.

29 pounds, she's an unknown variety, maybe part collie but short hair. Just the right size for me, big enough to be substantial, but small enough to pick up and control. We had a large, thick-set Dalmatian and when he got old and grumpy it bothered me that I couldn't physically make him move or go out. He was DH's dog and I was not the boss of him!

Older lab weighs about 82 pounds, she is a tank, all muscle. I always laugh when we go to the vet, if a new tech takes her, I say, be careful she is really strong, and they sort of look at me like, yea, sure lady, she's 11! Then they come back and say, wow, she is really strong! :rotfl;

2 yo lab is 67 pounds. She is an English lab from a different breeder and is is great shape. Very different body type from our old girl, longer and lean.

7 yo terrier-ish rescue is 17 pounds and she rules the roost! :tongue: If one of the big girls has a bone or toy she wants, she just walks right up and takes it. One of our favorite stories is from around 18 months ago. Our younger lab was about 6 months and decided that she was all that and a bag of chips! Furthermore, since she was a "big girl" now, she could take what she wanted. Well Sweetie had about enough of that after five minutes. All the the sudden, she growled, snapped and said something in dog and bam, Haley was sitting in the corner, all contrite and well behaved! :joker::joker::joker: We tried to figure out how she did it!

Female yellow lab (the rescue thought purebred, but she had no papers, so she might be a mix): 55 lbs.
Male standard poodle (also a rescue, but he came with his papers): 45 lbs.

The poodle looks much bigger than the lab, but most of it is fur. The lab is built like a tank. The poodle is more fine boned.

In order of age:

Female Shi-Poo 9 lbs

Female Shi-Poo 12 lbs

Female GSD/Pit mix 70 lbs

Male standard Yorkie 15 lbs

Bloodhound and maybe golden retriever mix (from a shelter). He clocks in about 105, a little less in the summer when we walk more. Big dork.

Yorkie, she weighs a tad over 7 lbs.
