S/O Electronic tolls between Orlando and Marco Island

Hi all -
I was reading the other thread about Electronic tolls, and someone mentioned the "mandatory" Electronic tolls start further south of Orlando - After 3 nights at Universal, we will be driving to Marco Island - are we going to have any issues if we do not have and electronic toll system on our rental?

Sidenote: It seems odd to me that a high volume tourist destination (with a lot of folks who drive from their homestate and/or rent cars) would have roads with electronic tolls as the ONLY option. Especially when the electronic toll company varies from region to region - I have an EZ Pass here in NJ but is is another system in FL if I recall). But I digress ;-)
