Ok, so as I am looking at all these wonderful DISigns, I realized I have lots of questions!!!

1. Where do you get your t-shirts? Do you get 100% cotton or a 50/50 blend? Hobby Lobby has theirs on sale right now...how much are they if they are 50% off and are they good quality?

2. What is the best iron-on transfer out there? I plan on getting a bunch of different colors, so I would want the dark transfer paper correct?

3. Passports.....do you print yours off on your own printer? Do you use a site like snapfish to make a small book? If you have it done through snapfish (for i.e.) does the stamp from each country smear or not? Do places like Kinko's, Office Max (or depot) print them off?

I could have swore I had some more questions... :confused3 :rotfl2: But I guess that is good for now. Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated!!!

TIA :goodvibes

1. I get all my shirts from Jiffyshirts.com. I've used mostly 100% cotton, but did end up having to use a 50/50 Hanes from ACMoore and had no problems. But ALWAYS wash them first and DON'T use a softner sheet.

2. The best transfer out there, and I only use these are Amy's Transfers. She only sells dark transfes, but the colors are so much more vibrant when you use a dark transfer! Her site is amymickey.com.

3. As far as passports, I've never done one, but I did make autograph books. I printed the pages out at home and had Kinko's cut and bind them. Personal choice really, I've seen some really great ones that have been done by snapfish and such.

Hope that helps!:thumbsup2

Shirts- I buy mine at various places, I try to watch for clearance, Right now Walmart has nice women's shirts that are more shapely on clearance for $3 they are V neck the brand is Danskin and they are 60%cotton 40% polyester. Last year I used ones from there that were NorthCrest Brand 96% cotton 4% spandex. Both turned out good (using above mentioned transfers from amymickey.com) For the kids I usually pick up 100% cotton shirts where ever on clearance, last year I bought Red shirts from Michaels at the 50% off price, they have held up well. Always always always be sure to wash your shirts first (no fabric softner) before applying Transfers no matter what kind you buy.

Transfers - I have used numerous brands of Transfers over the past 5 or more years, but I will NEVER use anything other than Amy's again, I bought my first package of them last year and was absolutely in LOVE with the quality of them.

Passports - I just put together passports at Shutterfly and Artscow I chose to do the one from Shutterfly because they have an option that is more like a booklet rather than a hard covered book, but they were more expensive I had a coupon tho for $8.99/free shipping for it. I used DoNatalie's Design for that one that has the different Princesses on it I believe? I JUST orderd them to get that sale so I can't say how I like it. I also just put together another of DoNatalie's Designs for the book for Artscow, you will NOT find better pricing than that site for printing, they have a no shipping fee deal on right now which ROCKS and I want to say their 5x7 books are $4.99 for the first 20 pages (I believe mine ended up being 24 pages long) The only BAD thing about using Artscow is their shipping times are LONG... I ordered 5x7 books July 28 and I didn't receive them for almost a month, I don't mind because of the awesome Price and Quality. however if you need them in a hurry they are NOT the place to order from. Their 5x7 book is the kind with the peek-a-boo window, if you look on Natalie's Photobucket's main page she shows a passport I believe printed in a blue book with the same style as Artscow's 5x7 books are

Places like you mentioned will not beable to PRINT the images for you because of copyright laws, however they can bind them together if you want to print them yourself. For me I feel that the cost of printing books (ink & paper) and having them bound just doesn't seem as reasonable when I can order them for $5 from Artscow.

Hope that info helps (I can't answer the stamping questin since we've not yet been there to see how they work)

Thank you all soooo much!! I appreciate all your help. Sounds like the transfers from amy are the ones to go with. Still trying to figure out all the rest! Thanks!!!! :goodvibes
