??'s about Upgrading/Adding Dining plan within 45 days/at check in

Hello. So we are quickly approaching our 45 day mark. We originally have booked DxDP thinking others in our party were also. Now those people have decided to go with just the regular dining..
Here are my questions. If I switch the servation to be DDP instead of DxDP, if we decide at some point to switch back can we? Can you at check in? Or within 45 days? And if so will there be a fee to change? We have lots of reservation for more then two so if we can get more we may do the dxdp still. I just don't know.

And I'm sorry if this has been asked recently and the answer is easy to find. I'm on my android phone and the Dis won't give us any love, so its difficult to search the forums.Thanks in advance.

You can change it up to 48 hours before check in but you might be charged a fee for changing your reservation. If I was in your situation, I would downgrade to DDP before 45 days and need be, upgrade later. The will most likely wave the reservation change fee if you are upgrading vs downgrading.

I believe there is a $50 package change fee, which as noted above, is often waived for package upgrades but is charged for any downgrades.

You must make any changes no later than 3 days before check-in (2 days for DVC owners staying on points). Changes made within 2 weeks of arrival are chard a $15 change fee regardless of upgrade/downgrade.

Thanks for the replies. I figured Disney wouldn't mind so much if you wanted to make your package cost more closer to your stay. Hopefully we can sort things out. Thanks again.

It's 72 hours for a package reservation, not 48 hours. 48 hours is for DVC reservations.
