??'s about Upcoming DVC Rental trip

Hi, My friend is leaving for a DVC Rental trip to BWV in one month. She has received her Magical Express but not anything else. WE are going the same time and we have received our "packet" from Disney with the Reservation and all the extra vouchers that came with the package we booked through CRO.

So if you rent DVC points will she still receive a "packet" from Disney? I know the reservation is fine because she did receive the ME stuff but, just want to know if we should even be looking for a packet from Disney about now for a DVC stay.

ALSO:::

Her mother works for the government and has offered to pick up park tickets for them at the government rate. If she buys the tickets here through her Mom (or at Disney store or any other discount outlet) can she take those unused tickets and add them to her room key when she checks in at the BWV??

What government rate? I work for the Federal government and have never gotten a discounted rate. Now if she works for the Dept of Defense, she might get a discounted rate on tickets through the military.

If she rented from a DVC owner, there is no reason for her to get anything from Disney, since they are not whom she is renting from. Tickets and dining must be planned on your own. There is no "packet" from DVC, only the reservation confirmation sheet which would have come from the owner. If you buy tickets from outside of Disney, you can have them added to the room key as long as the ticket is still in the voucher state and has not been activated at a turnstyle to one of the parks.

She does have the confirmation reservation in her name and was sent that from the renter. I also got a confirmation for my trip when I booked it and now I have gotten the packet with the same information again. Just was checking to see if DVC sends that out to their guests as well. I guess the answer is no.

We've had them added when they are used tickets, moved from last years room key to this years room key, and done all sorts of strange things with getting our park passes on room keys.

Actually, she'll probably get a very nice DVC packet at check-in.
