?'s about price increases and AP vouchers

Hey - we are taking a small WDW break as we settle into our new house and welcome our new baby...but......we are getting that itch again.

We let our AP's lapse in August. (boy was that hard - not renewing or at least getting one last trip in on those AP's before they expired.) We will be going again sometime in 2005 and want to know the following...

- when is the buzz or general opinion about when prices will increase again?

- if i pre purchase vouchers (over the phone, online or at the DS) is there a significant discount from buying the AP at the parks?

- if i pre purchase vouchers, how long are they good for before they are acitvated?

- if i pre purchase vouchers before a price increase, but don't activate them until after a price increase, do i have to pay the difference?

Prices for APs just went up this past March by about 10 dollars so I don't know how long before they do it again. I would imagine not until at least next March but I don't know.

I don't believe there is a discount in advance purchasing of AP's, its the same if you order them now or get them when you are down.

The vouchers are good until you activate them. I bought my voucher back in early March before the increase and it doesn't show an expiration date or that you have to activate them by a certain time.

I don't know for sure but I would imagine no you will not have to pay the price increase if you purchase them before. You wouldn't have to for a regular park hopper ticket so I highly doubt you would if you bought them before the price increase.

I've never seen more than a few days' notice on price increases. That tends to be very closely guarded info which only leaks out a few days before the increase--most likely from Disney Store CMs receiving formal notice of the price change.

The only discounts available are military and Florida Resident. There are no advance purchase discounts on APs, and they cannot be obtained from any sources other than Disney.

They have no expiration date. Vouchers can be redeemed at any point after purchase.

No. As is the case with other ticket media, once you purchase the pass, you receive the applicable benefits regardless of future price increases.
