We're still debating how to do this, and I need some help please. If we buy 100 points at AKV with an April use year resale and then we buy 100 points direct from Disney at BLT and get the April use year, can those points be pooled at 7 months out to make a reservation? Example: if we want to use 176 points at BCV and it's available, can we do it? From what I understand as long as they're both under the same member name and the same use year it can - right?

This is harder than I thought it would be - lol!

You've got it right. You can pool the points and use them wherever at 7 months, though they cannot be pooled before then.

exactly.

some people take advantage of their 11 month window by using around 200 AKV pts one year (100 AKV + 100 borrowed AKV from the next year) to book AKV at 11 months, and then the next year, booking BLT at 11 months with around 200 BLT pts (100 banked from the prior year when you stayed at AKV + 100 current BLT pts).

some will book 5 nights at AKV at 11 months using home resort pts and try to fill in weekends - since they are often easier to find availability - or extra nights at 7 months with BLT pts. (or vice versa.)
