Hi. I have been to WDW several times and only one day to DL in Jan of 2001.My mother and I are visiting my bro in San Diego but must visit Disney Nov 22(monday). So far the only info I could find re: park hours doesn't sound right.(This from the official Disney site) park open 8:00-11:00,no parade,show info available.Do you guys really think Disneyland will be open those hours (that's 2 hrs longer than the Magic Kingdom for the same date)? We are arriving by train to Anaheim at 8:06 and planned to take a taxi to the park and be there for opening.I know from experience at WDW if you arrive an hour after opening you're in for some long lines.What do you think???? TIA

I just checked the DL site and got the same info. It is Thanksgiving week and more and more schools do let off for the whole week now (one of the districts in my area does as does nearby Cal State Fullerton U), so that may be the reason for the longer hours. Show and parade info is rarely available this far in advance. If you have a taxi ready and waiting for you at the train station, it shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes to get to DL, so you'd be there by around 8:30, which is still pretty good.

Thanks for the response Do you think we'll do ok arriving 1/2 hour after opening?Or would you try to switch to a day you could be there for opening?I'm used to WDW and it's insane "competitiveness",just don't know what to expect!
