Am hoping to rent points in order to go to a DVC resort Dec 17-22, 2006 (studio, either BCV, OKW, BWV, or WLV) and had a couple of questions:

1. How soon could I try to rent points/book accommodation for these dates?
2. Is Stormalong Bay heated to 82F like other WDW pools?
3. Are there balconies/patios available in studio units at BCV, OKW, BMV, WLV?

I am so looking forward to the possibility of renting points and having the opportunity to go to a deluxe resort for the first time. Orginially we were planning on staying the entire duration (10 or 12 nights) at a value.
Any information woudl be greatly appreciated.

The soonest that a DVC member may make reservations is 11 months prior to check out. Since the time you have chosen is a popular one, you'll want to find a member who owns points at the resort you choose. Start looking for someone this coming December. That will give you time to negotiate terms and time for the owner to make the reservatrion as soon as the booking window opens.

2. Is Stormalong Bay heated to 82F like other WDW pools?

It's heated - I don't recall to what temperature, though. My memory is saying 85F.

3. Are there balconies/patios available in studio units at BCV, OKW, BMV, WLV?

Yes. There may be one or two that don't have them (at VWL), but the chances of getting it are very small.

DVC members buy there points at 'home' resorts. A member can make a reservation 11 months before the check out date at their home resort or 7 months before check out at any other DVC resort.

Yes.

Yes, I believe all have balconies or patios.

Thank you so much for all of the information. I appreciate it so much. I have done nothing all day but read up on DVC. I am so excited about the possibiity of staying at one of these fabulous resorts.
