Does everyone have this Disney Reward Visa from Chase and Im the only one that does not have it. Is it worth it? Can you use the points at Disney????Please help if you are using it. THANK YOU!!!! :rolleyes1

Yes I have it and so do many others on this board. When I got the card I did it to receive my 50.00 gift card which was nice to use on small gifts when I went to Disney this year. I never carry a balance so I do not worry about the rate. The points realy do not add up that fast....I think you should get bonus points for using it at Disney but you don't.
If you want to apply I do have the friends & family code so you can get a 50.00 Gift Certificate....Just send me a PM and I will give it to you.

Thanks for the offer I have already applied with Disney Shopping and recieved a gift card. I guess my ?'s are how do you get points and how many points per $ spent. Can you use them towards park tickets, rooms,gifts.... :confused3

Hello, You receive 1 point for every $100.00 spent. When it was Bank One they would run promotions for double points, but since Chase took over they haven't offered anything like that. When you accumulate points you can use them for anything at Disney. They will send you a rewards card (gift card), so if you have 200 points you'll receive $200.00 to spend at Disney. We use our points every year to buy or Premium Annual Passes. We only use this card and pay it off evry month. If you pay any intrest at all those free points will mean nothing. So only buy what you can pay for!

Would buying DVC with the Disney card (is that allowed?) count toward 6 months no interest like buying a vacation package?

Yes you do get a 6 month no intrest on DVC. We just bought at SSR and got it.

As others have said, yes, you can certainly use it at WDW. We have it and use it for almost everything (also never carrying a balance). It may not be the best credit card in terms of $ back (our best deal was when AAA had the cheapest airline rewards with the pick of airlines), but every time I use it, one glance at the CASTLE, and I have a "magical Disney moment"! pixiedust: Now, that's "priceless"! :goodvibes

Disney Visa is all that we use too. (Don't carry a balance) We recently put our 220 point SSR purchase on it and earned tons of points. I highly recommend this if you are able to pay it in full. That many rewards points is like another Disney incentive!!

Thanks for your help. We are going to WDW in October and already have the $ saved and we were going to use Amex for the points. Not anymore. A little extra spending money never hurts. The key is not to carry a balance!!!!

I'm so glad I found this thread, since I was just looking into signing up YESTERDAY! We've been thinking about it for a while, but never actually did it. I see a couple of different deals, either via codes or signing up thru a particular site, such as thru disneyshopping.com or thru DVC...

Just wondering which one is the better deal - which one gives the best up front perk? :confused3

Not sure of other offers but we've received both $25 bonus reward dollars and $50 disney gift card offers (both if approved and after first purchase) in our statements recently.

We use it for lots of purchases. We'll have about $400 by the time we are at WDW in Nov. Will keep me in lots of things "Disney" :cool1: :cool1:

Again, the key is probably keeping no balance which is what we do.

I have the Disney Visa also. Used it to pay for an add-on and then paid it off. I like to save up points to pay for passes/tickets/purchases. I usually have enough points to fund almost all expenses while at Disney, which is a great way to help pay for trips!

And I don't carry a balance.

We both (DH and I) just got one. The best deal we found was the click-through on the DVC member site for $50. So yes I'd say it's worth it...we both got and it used it for gas and got $100 in Disney $! :thumbsup2

I have had this card since it's inception and have actually stopped using it. Since the buy-out by Chase, promos are not as good as they used to be and there are other cards available that offer higher rewards. Although it was nice to use the reward dollars towards our maintenance fees, I feel I can do better using another card.
