I have only been on here a short while and I know I am no expert by any means....but two things I see alot on here are people are worried about crowds and Noise???
I don't get it..It's WDW..you should expect huge crowds no matter when you go...There have been crowds when We have gone but... overall the waits were nothing compared to a place like CAROWINDS where you pay 60.00 bucks a head and wait in lines for hours to ride rides...

and the noise??

People asking if this room is noisy or this resort,etc...I can understand if you are retired and are making a relaxing vacation but it is WDW...I think there should be noise...kids playing,laughing,etc...Although I have stayed with room where the pool was 10 steps from my door and Have not heard a thing..I mean I don't want Dr.Dre to park his ESCALADE WITH 8 10INCH SPEAKERS OUTSIDE MY ROOM...but the noise has never bothered us....

I just can't believe that Noise plays such a huge part of peoples trip planning....maybe Im just lucky....and never experienced it...

I totally agree with you. Its refreshing to me to hear from someone with realistic expectations. I tend to be a pretty "go with the flow" kind of person and wouldn't let petty things spoil my trip.
Unfortunately there are quite a few people (on these boards and elsewhere) that expect Disney to be so "magical" that when a little bit of real life gets in the way they fall apart and let it ruin their trip.
Legitimate noise - like an entire teenage tour group setting up camp in the next room can be a problem. But it can usually be dealt with, and should not ruin an entire trip.
And as for crowds...if you plan your trip in the summer when your kids are off from school, remember that almost everyone else's kids are off from school at that same time, so you will not have the park to yourself. Planning ahead can help minimize the effects.
There are pages and pages of threads from people that wanted everything to be "perfect" and are disappointed by silly things. Life is much too short and vacations are too few to let that happen.

I am new on here also and was kinda suprised by that to. I couldnt agree with you both more. Crowds, Lines, Noise are to be excpected. I guess my other thought would be if no one went to WDW why would you want to go ya know, its crowded because it is so great! :goodvibes

I completely agree, there are some things taht are just to be expected...especially booking a WDW vacation...If you want peace, quiet and relaxation there are a million places you could go and lay poolside or at the beach...you could probably get a pretty good deal too!:lmao:

Now Carowinds...I believe may be the worst "theme park" I've ever been to! It almost turned me off of parks all together, and my mother in law turns shades of green at the mere mention....UGH!! Too small to be on the NC/SC border, and accomodate the thrill seekers of both states IMO, and HOT AS HADES!!

Hi! Just gotta chime in, I couldn't agree MORE! Yes, there will be crowds when you go! It is a fun place, everyone wants to go! If no one went, WDW would close down! It is impossible to predict exactly how many people will be there when you go and exactly how long you will have to wait in line. Get over it! I always say, if it weren't for ADRs I would leave my watch at home when I go to WDW. I just don't time how long I stand in any given line. I people watch, talk to my family, make friends with other folks in line, etc. We have been at all times of the year and we always have fun!
And noise, well I agree with you about that one too. We are not going to a rest home, we are going to Disney World!!!
It helps if you know you will be going back. If a line seems crazy long we just skip it. If we miss that ride/show this trip we know we will be back before too long to try again. It is impossible to see and do EVERYTHING in one trip anyway. Disney doesn't really want you to be able to. That is part of the magic of it......
