When I receive my MBs for a trip to WDW, is my room already determined, and loaded on the MB? I suspect that's all done at check-in. What if I want to change rooms, for whatever reason?
Wouldn't I have to write down my FP+ choices, after selecting them thru MDE, to remember which, and when, my choices are? I don't have a smartphone, if that matters.

Nothing is "loaded" on your MB. All your info is in the Disney Computer, the MB is just a key to access it.

Yes, I would write down or print out your FP+s just to keep track of them.

Most definitely write down or printout your FP selections.
My last trip none of my FP selections worked. I had a printout of the FP, went to each ride (3 different parks on 3 days), MB turned blue, being pulled off to the side, the CM manually checked the MB using his tablet, then I having to show my printout, and I could then get on.

We were there last month and I had trouble getting onto MDE through my I-Pad almost every time at the BWV and sometimes through my I-Phone in the parks. It ALWAYS seemed to say they encountered a blip, check back later.

The thing is, it seemed so easy to make the FP+s that I had no recollection of when they were because I made them well in advance. I, of course, assumed they would always be right at my fingertips. Wrong!

For the trip earlier this month, I went back to our old system of making a color-coordinated printout of all our ADRs & FP+s. I was much happier with the hard copy. I guess once they get all of the kinks worked out, it will be fine, but until then, I'll be taking a backup copy.
