I kind of felt sorry for him until he got to the part where he said that he didn't recognize his daughter, Tatum O'Neal at Farrah's funeral and tried to pick her up!

Ryan O'Neal: "I was a Jerk" to Farrah
O’Neal, 68, reveals that he was so out of touch with his own daughter, Tatum, that he didn’t recognize her at Fawcett’s funeral and tried to pick her up.
LOS ANGELES -- Ryan O'Neal is speaking out publicly about his life with Farrah Fawcett, saying he wishes he could "do it over" and "change the way he treated" his longtime partner.
In an interview with Vanity Fair magazine (due to hit newsstands on August 5th), O'Neal says "I would have been much kinder, more understanding, more mature. I'd lose some of the savagery. I don't know how she got cancer; maybe some of it was me."
During their first major break-up, O'Neal says Fawcett "was going through some kind of change. I didn't have a change of life; I was always a jerk."
He then says that "they're hard work, these divas. "I was sick of it, and I was unappreciated."
O’Neal, 68, also talked about his failure as a parent.
O'Neal revealed that he was so out of touch with his own daughter, Tatum, that he didn’t recognize her at Fawcett’s funeral and tried to pick her up.
O'Neal claims they "started fighting about Redmond by the time he was three."
The two reconciled in 2001 when O'Neal was diagnosed with chronic myelogenous leukemia.
During the last stages of her battle with cancer, O'Neal says Fawcett asked him to stop taking his medication so that they could die together. When Fawcett asked Ryan if she was going to live, O'Neal says he told her "Sure, baby -- and if you don't, I'll go with you." Fawcett then said to him: "Stop the Gleevec."
Griffin O'Neal -- Ryan's son with another woman -- says his father's only motives were financial.
Griffin told "Vanity Fair" Ryan's "only goal was to make sure he would be in the will. It was so disgustingly transparent as soon as he found out she was terminal. I consider him a vulture presiding over a carcass."
Ryan O'Neal rejects the claims he was in it for the money. "I hate him! He knows I have money. I made a tremendous amount of money on real estate, more than I deserve," O'Neal says.
Farrah Fawcett left her entire estate to her son, Redmond, and nothing to Ryan O'Neal. She died on June 25th at the age of 62 after a long and public battle with anal cancer.
