We are looking into renting a large RV (30+ feet) and it's a V10. Anyone driven down from the Toronto area lately in one, looking for an estimate on gas (I know, it can be subjective to many factors) anyone?

Just did a quick google search (Google is your friend) and it looks like a good average consumption rate for a V10 RV is 7 miles/gallon. Say its 1300 miles from Toronto to Orlando. That gives you 185 gallons of fuel each way. At $3.85/gallon you're looking at about $712 in gas each way.

We considered this a while ago too as we are avid campers and thought about staying at FWR. In the end we didn't, but one suggestion I might make is to consider renting the rig down there. There are a couple of companies that will even deliver to you at FWR (just do a google search for Rental RV Florida).

Of course this doesn't work if you are doing multi-stop camping on the trip down, but if you are planning to drive straight through or only one stop anyway, the savings on gas can be fairly substantial, and you will have your own vehicle down there as well. Driving your own RV, you need to do all your shopping etc before your setup camp (I'm not that good a planner ).
