RV Roadside Assistance - AAA or Good Sam?

Time for us to renew our roadside assistance. Looked into our cell phone provider & our auto insurance carrier RA. Cheaper, but neither covers heavier vehicles and trailers, just autos.

Currently looking at AAA & Good Sam. Have had AAA up to now. No strong complaints (except their website is clunky and stinks and their local branch isn't great). Any one had both? Pros & cons?

We are also looking to upgrade our RV insurance. If you have a recommendations there, please feel free to share!

I don't know squat about RVs but we have the top tier of AAA and we like it very much.

We use CoachNet and are very happy. they cover not only your RV, but any other car you have, or are riding in (so if you're riding with a friend or relative and need the service, it's there for you).

We had GoodSam and weren't impressed (and are still getting their junk mail to this day!) and our branch of AAA won't cover RV's (not all chapters do, so make double sure yours does if you go that route).

As for insurance, we have progressive and have been very happy.

Same here. I don't know about their RV plans, but I'm very happy with the auto side of AAA. We have a plus membership that gets us 100 miles of towing, and we've used it several times and had no complaints at all.

Check out RV. Net or the camping forum here on Disboards. Likely have more RVers. Our Rv coverage is through National Interstate.
