Our family is considering taking a trip up to DL in March, after my SIL's wedding. We'll be driving to AZ with extended family in an RV, but the rest of the family wants to hang out in AZ for the rest of the week, whereas we can't resist being that close to DL! We'd ditch them and take the RV to CA. However, we'd ONLY have the RV, and no other vehicles. Is there an RV park nearish to DL? And how would we get from the RV park to the theme park? (or is there RV parking at DL?)

There are a couple on this page - Anaheim Harbor RV park, just north of DL, and Anaheim Resort RV Park, east of DL. Both are on the opposite side of I-5. Not sure if either would have a shuttle to the parks, or if ART serves them, but DL does have RV parking for $20/day. :scared1:

FIL took the Korean cousins in the RV to DL, stayed here. They liked it; and considering that MIL and FIL literally stayed in the RV park and didn't enter DL at all, I guess they'd know if they liked the place or not!

From your excellent Wikimapia map, it appears that both Anaheim Harbor RV Park and Travellers World RV Park are across the street from Days Inn on North Harbor. According to the ART map on this page, ART stops at the Harbor RV Park. And my guess is that the ART route that goes down Anaheim Blvd. should stop somewhere near Anaheim Resort RV Park. A call to ART should confirm this.

Enjoy your the wedding and your Disney trip!

The good news/bad news on the Anaheim Harbor RV park is that it would have an excellent view of the DL fireworks, the bad news being that it's likely downwind of the fireworks as well. Someone who's stayed in that area could comment - we're upwind. :thumbsup2

We've stayed (in a tent) at Anaheim Harbour RV.
PP was correct the ART stop is a couple doors away. We also watched the fireworks from our site. Don't remember any effects of the wind. It was close to $50 night for a tent. More of a place to park your rv to sleep, it's not a destintation. There is a small pool.

First go-around I missed the Travelers World RV park, also on the northside, with an entrance on Ball Road. This one looks larger and newer (under construction in the satellite view, but I know I've driven by it and it's open for biz) but again I'm not sure about ART.

The Orangeland RV park mentioned by Bumbershoot is a ways east of DLR, just off Katella east of Anaheim Stadium and the Honda Center.
