Am I missing something? I looked at both of the packages. The red package which is labeled lo carb and the green package which is labled sugar free. They appear to be the same candy - I bought the mints - one low carb and the sugar free ones, they taste the same...

Is there something that is different between the two? Other than the fact the low carb ones costs twice as much!

I was wondering the same thing!
I looked at both and could see no difference either.
I believe it's just the packaging. The ones that just say sugar free being packaged before Russell Stover jumped on the low carb band wagon, and the red low carb packaging after they smartened up and realized what a market full of low carbers there are out there looking for a yummy sweet treat!

I so agree with this! I cannot believe how EXPENSIVE things with the word "low carb" are now. Not that I blame them, everytime I look for LC stuff, there's a BIG huge hole where they WERE! It seems EVERYONE in Atlanta is going Low Carb! Ugh!

To me they look identical. Even down to the ingredients.

We do the SF version (DH has a definite sweet tooth), and we'll usually split a piece of Russell Stover. The serving sizes on some of them are surprising!! Like 5 pieces = 1 carb. So if I have 1/2 of one piece, that's .10 carbs.

However........ don't OD on it, because the sugar alcohols can impede your loss. And it also acts as a laxative..... and you know what that means...

I found this out the hard way!! I have a hard time eating anything that has sugar alcohol in it, as I found out...even a couple of bites will send me over the edge, but sometimes I just *have* to try something!!:p:p
