Rush Hour Thursday Morning

DBF and I are leaving for DLR at about 3:30am (AZ time), and will be in the LA area probably around 7:30-8am. We are trying to get to the parks by 9 to use our MM on the first day. I am pretty sure my plans are going to be ruined becayse Rush Hour is going to be an issue... am I right? Please say "Nope, there won't be any problem!" If I'm not crazy, is there anyway I can avoid it and be at DLR by 8:30am?

I'm not sure which freeway you are taking, but if you go on sigalert.com or even google traffic, it will give you an idea of how bad the traffic will be.

Which rute are you taking? Knowing which fwy you will be on will help to more accurately answer your question.

I drove I-5 coming up from San Diego to DLR two weeks ago, also targeting an 8am PT arrival. I encountered no problems whatsoever in the general vicinity.

You could always leave earlier..... If you arrive earlier than you need to rest in the car.

And what do you mean by "LA area"? Just trying to understand exactly where you'll be at what time to give a better answer. One bit of advice would be to try to avoid going through Corona (91). It can take awhile to get through that traffic but I don't really have any experience with taking a different route from that direction so not positive that other freeways are better but I'm assuming so since i hear a lot of people around here complain about the traffic in corona. Hope that made sense.

Haha I am so dumb, I wrote this in a hurry and assumed everyone knew exactly what I was talking about hahah. I am coming from AZ, so I will be on the I10, to I think the 70 and then the 5? I could be totally wrong. I will have to ask my boyfriend when he gets home. I'm sorry this is a dumb post! Today is a crazy day.

The poster meant to say 60. Just take 91. Its much shorter than taking the 60 to the 57 and unless there was a bad crash its faster too.
