Running The Half, Dis Meets, Deluxe Dining,& SSR! BACK. Had a great time!

I'm excited about Marvel. I actually don't want Universal to keep any of there! I know they probably will stay there for a while, but I hope its not permanent. I think a superhero dinner would be awesome!! And a whole park for them!! I know I'm dreaming big, but why not? I don't think it'll be too different in the near future, but thats okay...lol I'll just dream that it'll be awesome by the time Landon is old enough to enjoy that!

I'm not sure how I feel about Disney acquiring Marvel. I don't see how it's going to tie in outside of DHS. I wouldn't want to see them build a whole Marvel park. It would just seem out of place to me. :confused3 That's just my opinion. As for Universal, Spiderman is one of the best rides I've ever been on, so I'm hoping that stays put!

I don't expect the Marvel acquisition to have much impact on the parks.

Where you could start to see the impact is at stores.

Hey Lynn!!! I have so much to catch up on. :surfweb:

Your new shoes sound so cool! If I was a runner, I would totally get them. So cool!

I can't believe it's September, either. CRAZY!!! You guys will soon be in double digits!!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo::yay:

So sad Tim changed his mind about Disneyland. Aaron actually suggested doing that next year. I'm strongly considering it. We've never been, and I think it'd be fun. DL always has better pins, too. Plus, we'd love to explore around the area and head up to LA to see a Dodgers game! I've always wanted to sit in Dodger Stadium and eat a Dodger Dog. My only hesitation...I'll feel like I'm cheating on Disney World! :lmao:

Wow Lynn those sneakers sound so cool. I give you SOOO much credit for running like you do and having the drive to do it daily! :thumbsup2

4 more months!! Such a great feeling! How's school going so far?

Those Nike shoes sound pretty cool. I'm still back in the dark ages w/ my ipod mini from like 3 years ago!!! I was running a little w/ my dog (the best running partner ever!) but now it's just too freakin hot to exercise outside. Its still in the 90's here in FL, but it will be in the 70's when it's snowing up north so there you go. ;)

Don't you just love the beginning of school in the fall? It just feels like a clean slate...new beginnings and all that. What classes are you taking now?

Have you pre-ordered your copy of Toy Story Mania for the Wii?? It comes out two weeks from yesterday! :cool1:

Are you stalking me?

I think a whole Marvel park may not really be necessary. How about a Kimmyopolis park? Everything could be themed around me. JK of course! LOL...I just think they need something better. I don't like how they kinda cram all the "other" stuff in DHS. The stories I hear of MGM when it was actually a working studio and that sound so much cooler than it is now. I think they should take DHS back in that direction but improved upon, of course and take all this new other stuff somewhere else. Personally, I love a bunch of the new movies from Up to Bolt and I don't like how they keep the characters for the newest movie out there and then take them away when the next one comes up. (this may just be a personal thing...I'm really sad I don't get to meet the Bolt characters!)

I guess I just wouldn't be happy with a Pixar section, a Marvel section, and Star Wars stuff and then all the Hollywood stuff from classic stuff like from The Twilight Zone and Indian Jones and all that to Aerosmith. I mean, Magic Kingdom works with all the different lands. Even though those sections are different, they all tie in with how they all just take you into a different land. But with DHS, its kinda too busy trying to fit a bunch of stuff in one place that don't tie together as well as the other places. And if it doesn't fit in any of the other 3 parks, it seems to go there. I'm sure they could make it work better, but I don't like how it is now. However, upon further incessant rambling leading me to new opinions, I think if they added a very good Marvel section there, it would help DHS A LOT!! Ok, so let's come back to realize that I haven't actually been there yet...but I've heard that a lot of the rides seem outdated and then there are the 3 VERY popular big ticket rides--TSM, TOT and RnRC. A well-done Marvel section could help with some of the congestion with those and then have something else to do besides those rides or outdated rides or shows.

Okay...I've officially had way too much coffee this morning. I bet none of that made any sense. If everyone disagrees with me and hates me now, I understand. Sorry Lynn for the pirate: LOL...okay...I'm done now

Yes, I am. I follow you around from thread to thread. :rotfl:

I'm still mad at DHS for getting rid of the Golden Girls house. That was my whole reason for doing the Backlot tour. Now I don't even bother. It's my least favorite park out of the 4 which is odd because it has one of my favorite ridse (ToT). I think it's part of what you said, there's just too much going on there! Most of it doesn't even feel like it has anything to do with movies! I round a corner and there are the Power Rangers. HUH?

You know what I would love to see? And this has nothing to do with Disney...I want someone to build a theme park based on the Super Mario Bros. How freakin cool would that be??

There is too much going on. Like they've kept some classics like muppets but take out the golden girls house and always have new stuff (i.e. up) but take it out immediately (i.e. bolt). They could even do a classic half and a new stuff half, with room to keep stuff!

How great would it be to walk around a land of giant warp pipes? :rotfl: Then they could expand and make another park out of the Legend of Zelda. I've thought about this a lot!

Lol would you be able to jump up and hit your head on a box and have mushrooms, stars or flowers come out? Although the giant warp pipes sounds cool enough!

They could do a whole land devoted to Yoshi! And the princesses, Wario & Waluigi, and Bowser. I really want this to happen! LOL.

This does sound awesome!!

Where do I copyright this? If I knew anything about building a theme park or knew someone who did, I would totally get this idea going! :rotfl:

Hey lynn.. just wanted to pop in and say HI, your getting so close to making your ADR"S, and park hours being released!!!!!... How's your fall semester going so far? Good?

Hey guys. I didn't get a chance to read all of your comments yet so please don't think I'm not going to. I will tomorrow. Just wanted to check in and say hi. Life has been busy for me, but that is a good thing.

School is great! I love love love it!!!!! All of my teachers are awesome!!!

Ok I'm going to read Breaking Dawn and go to bed. I'm almost done reading it!! OMG LOVE it!!!!

Catch up with you all tomorrow.:)

I think I am the only one who doesn't like Twilight! :sad2: I finally broke down and read the first one and just didn't get it. :confused3 Guess I'm more of a Harry Potter girl. :)

I'm more of a HP girl too. ;) Twilight does not even compare! I read the books because they were given to me as gifts. They're alright, I don't see what the big deal is about them. I absolutely cannot stand Bella and Edward lol. I think I'm about the only girl who would have picked Jacob!
