Oh yes! He is VERY much a fan. If there was a way for the term fan to be an understatement... yes, that would describe him.

I have stayed there before. I love both POR and POFQ. I probably prefer POFQ because of how small it is. However, riverside mill at POR is probably one of my favorite quick service locations at any of the resorts. I have stayed in the AB section of POR and now in the Oak Manor section. Both had their charm.

I like your idea of the night before in the hotel. We always debate on that as well as we are over an hour away from our airport too. Not the most relaxing day before travel day though! What is it with boys and packing?? We had a similar experience with our son this past week on our DCL.

Im here! I do not envy your travel days. I am very lucky most of the places I travel I can get non-stop flights. Your travel days make me tired! The royal rooms is very pretty!

I guess it is either hectic the day before or the day of... I do think that Imay not fight Steve so much when it comes to that hotel the night before. It made it nice to drive ourselves from and back to our home.

Unfortunetly, my pictures just don't do it justice. It was such a pretty room. So many details. Everything from the carpet to the water faucets. It was an AMAZING room.

royal rooms is very pretty!

It was so pretty and we were just outside a quiet pool and next to a great parking spot! It was a perfect room.

We are registered and hotel booked. It was a little bit of a cluster, due to the discount offer dates, and we still don't have a room for our last two nights, but I'll figure it out.

That is so cool!!!! I have done split stays a few times and really can't say I hate it. So if you do end up moving... I am sure you can make it fun! And if I do manage to get us in the same resort as you... just a note to put your mind at ease. (in case you worry I might be some sort of stalker ) DVC is on the other side... so it would be very possible to not ever cross paths. So we are definitely going to have to plan to cross paths.

I am looking forward to the fall so much. I know it is terribly hot, but after last month being rather cold... I will look forward to that heat. And I also am excited to start the trip with the race and finish it with food and wine. Yes, lots of wine.

And as for the magic band... I think I did mine a week or more ago.... So crazy. I am already thinking of ways to decorate it!!!

Well I'm about to be my TA's worst nightmare client. I asked her to price POFQ for us. Seems our friends may be staying there, and would really save us lots of money that we can find some other uses for. Since this isn't a "once-in-a-lifetime" trip for us, I'm not worried about doing it big in a Deluxe. If we find we love F&W, maybe we'll go back another year and stay at an Epcot Deluxe resort. I have always envisioned "stumbling" back to the room from WS.

If you want my not so humble opinion... any good TA will be happy to make any changes you need/want. I wouldn't worry about being her worst nightmare.

We could definitely plan something for Friday! I will be headed to the expo on friday, so something before or after might work. (expo looks to open at 11am) I think my inlaws will be showing up on friday... but probably late. (they will need to hit the expo on saturday. ) We WILL make plans though!!!
