Going on the Wish in June, and with the lack of a track on the ship. I am wondering if people get off the ship in Nassau and run. Is it safe, is there a recommended trail or path.
TIA

We've driven by the harbor at Nassau many times, and it doesn't appear to be a very good place for sustained running. It's an area with a lot of people, stores, traffic, and traffic lights. I would consider it moderately unsafe from a traffic perspective.

You'll see State Department advisories about crime if you get out of the main tourist area too. Not far either, like a couple of blocks away.

I highly highly highly recommend that you don't do this. Nassau is very much not somewhere you want to be out on the street unless you absolutely have to. It is a very crime ridden place. Even then, lots of uneven sidewalks and pavement make for a great place to turn your ankle.

They do have treadmills and the free run machines on the ship in the gym.

It seems do-able and there are three likely routes I might take if there. As mentioned above the route towards Paradise Island, the other direction along the water/waterfront hotels or straight inland toward the university and Thomas Robertson stadium. Those three seem like they would have enough people that you would not be bothered while running, just have to accommodate vehicle/pedestrian traffic.

The caveat here is I am used to running while traveling, just did a nice 5 miles in Curacao last month. It is imperative to stay aware of your surroundings and not go too hard so that you can speed up if necessary. Happy to give more assistance/examples if needed.

These are pretty much the answers I expected, but thought I would ask. Thanks
I'm on the Wish next week and plan on running in Nassau. I googled a route. I think it goes by the water and over the bridge. I've walked around Nassau many times and never felt unsafe. There's always plenty of tourists around.

Like previous poster I run in every city I visit. I stay in well populated tourist areas. The vendors tend to ignore you when your running which is nice.
