Running... From Coast to Coast and Back Again - Tink 1/2 TR, Princess TR

Hey DISers! Sorry I've been MIA... I promise after the wedding I'll do my best to do more updates but I just don't have the time right now. I can't believe it... today is our

ONE WEEK WIGGLE

till our wedding! The time went by so fast and I now have that nervous-excited feeling in my stomach. It's very similar to that feeling I get before I ride Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. But, I can't wait! Then a week after that we'll be in the Bahamas and then spending a day at the Magic Kingdom!

So, here's the plan for our One Day Disneymoon!

7:30am - arrive back in port
-pack up rental car, drive from Port Canaveral to Magic Kingdom
9:30am - arrive at MK
9:30am-6:00pm - MK fun!

Must dos for the day:
- Peter Pan's flight
- Splash Mountain
- Big Thunder Mountain
- Space Mountain
- Pirates of the Caribbean
- Jungle Cruise
- Tea Cups
-5:00pm dinner at Tony's Town Square
- PhotoPass picture in front of castle for Thank You cards (I made cute little signs for us to hold. One says Thank, the other says You - we're going to get our picture in front of the castle holding them then I'm going to make my thank you cards when I get back:

Front: Picture of us with signs and along the bottom it will read
"Every once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary life, Love gives us a Fairy tale"

Inside: "Thank you for sharing in ours"

Then we'll right a message.

Other possibilities:

- Buzz Lightyear
- Dumbo

I plan to wear a pair of shorts that are the same color as our wedding and then I have a white tank top that has Just Married written in Disney font with a small Minnie head poking out with a bow to match the blue color! I bought the applique on Etsy and just love it!

After our dinner reservation, we'll get back in our rental car and head to the airport to fly home. Then, it'll be back to school and work on Tuesday... But, at least we'll have our week long honeymoon in St. Maarten in August to look forward too!

Love them! You two look great! I think the one that's a close up of you two on the bridge looking out the window is my favorite. And I am happy to see that you have the "princess foot" pose down pat in most of the photos. And I looooove the zebra heels- they are the perfect touch of wild.

Your idea for pictures in front of the castle sound adorable and it sounds like you have a great plan for your day at Disney

I LOVE the engagement pictures, they came out beautiful, the AKL is a really great spot for photos...so many different locations you were able to get and they all came out so nice!

Thank you! I love the bridge pictures as well! And they made me do the "princess foot" from the first picture so I had it down by the end! I'm glad you like the zebra heels, I almost didn't wear them because I wasn't sure if I liked them with the dress but in the pictures they're not as noticeable as seeing them in person so I'm glad to hear I got the effect I was going for with just a hint of AKL. We had a wonderful wedding day, thank you!

Thank you! I agree that AKL ended up working very well for the pictures. All the spots were so different and unique! Much better than anything we would have gotten in Ohio! Our wedding weekend was wonderful! It went by so fast though... I tried to stop and take it in when I could but the time just slipped away so fast! Enjoy your last few months of planning! It'll be here before you know it!

Ok, at this point, I'd love to say that we headed back to our hotel to shower and nap but we didn't. Rather, I took off my costume, put on a pair of pants and we spent the morning in Epcot. We hit up all our favorites including Test Track, Soarin', Nemo, and a few others. Around 2:00pm we headed back to the room. I grabbed a shower and then we headed back out to Epcot again. We had an awesome dinner at Le Cellier then watched Illuminations. After, we headed back to the hotel, backed our bags, and got a good nights rest before flying home the next morning. I had three weeks till the Tinkerbell Half!

Alright, I figure it's time to do a post on my wedding then I'll do a Disney update!

Friday, June 8 we were up early and drove from Cleveland to my parent's house. On the way, Ian dropped me off at the salon with my cousin (my matron of honor) to get our nails done and headed to my parents to help set up for the rehearsal dinner. Once done with our nails, my cousin and I joined everyone at my parents to finish setting up. We had a rehearsal at the church at 5pm:

This is Justina, she sang before the ceremony and was wonderful! She sang Beauty and the Beast

She also sang I see the Light from Tangled during our Unity candle lighting! We shortened it slightly since it's such a long song but it turned out beautiful!

After the church, we returned to my parents for the rehearsal dinner. Ian's family treats this like a family reunion so we had a LOT of people there. We did it in my parent's back yard since they live on a lake and it turned out great!

We had cupcakes from a bakery near Ian and I's house and made the toppers myself:

To cap off the night, we had Tangled lanterns!

Followed by fireworks!

Then it was off to bed for a busy next day!

It's such a weird feeling waking up on your wedding day. You plan for so long that it's surreal that it's here. My bridal party had spend the night at my parent's with me while Ian and the guys spent the night in a hotel near where our reception was. When I woke up, I just laid there for a few minutes before getting in the shower. Around 8:40am, we headed to the hair salon:

With our hair done, our party bus picked all of us up and took us to the church:

Once at the church, my college roommate did my makeup:

Then she took some pics:

Foral in front of the church:

The Bouquets:

Then it was time to get dressed:

Then, it was time to go!

My dad walked my down the aisle:

We did a rose presentation to our moms:

Said of vows:

Light our Unity Candle:

Kissed the bride:

And were pronounced husband and wife:

Then it was pictures followed by party time!

Anyway, then we piled on the party bus and headed to the reception!

Overall, it was amazing! It was even better than I could have imagined and it was so fun seeing all my planning come together! I wish I could replay it all again!

I got a kick out of the fact that your parent's and in-law's anniversaries made up your date. Did you plan it that way or was that just a crazy coincidence?

I know exactly what you mean about waking up on your wedding day. I thought it was the most unique feeling, as well. You can't really describe what it's like waking up knowing that when you go to sleep that night, you'll be married. I think it's one of those cases where you have to have been through it to understand it.


What an awesome idea to let go of lanterns during your rehersal dinner. And I thought that having someone sing "Now I See the Light" during the unity candle lighting was a brilliant idea. I bet that was great.

Thanks! I was really set on getting married in June. I'm not entirely sure why, I just always wanted too. Well, we were originally going to choose the 16th but my in-laws anniversary is May 9 so we figured we'd do June for my parents and the 9th for his and then I realized that my parent's and aunt and uncle's days made up ours as an after thought! I loved the lanterns and it really did remind me of Tangled! Also, I felt like I See the Light went really well. We did have to shorten it a little though because it's a long song but it flowed well and you couldn't tell.
