Running at AKL?

I'm about to stay at AKL for the first time. Does anyone have a map by chance that shows optimal running routes? I'd like to avoid dodging other guests and cars as much as possible.

I don't think there are any running trails at akl. You can really run around the resort, or on the road. You might want to try the workout room instead.

The workout room is an option, though I'm not a fan of treadmill running. Even if not officially a running trail, any thoughts on the best routes to take would be appreciated.

My best suggestion (and I have done this several times) is to take a bus to DHS. Run along the path that goes from DHS to the Epcot area resorts, around the lake, to the Int'l Gateway, around and around and back to DHS when you have had enough. Then bus back to AKL. Not the best choice if you are trying to get to rope drop or early ADRs but a great run and easy to get to DHS and back.

We stayed at AKL a couple of years ago, and I wound up running along a service road that another DISer told me about. I got onto the service road right near the tennis courts. The road was pretty deserted, which creeped me out a little bit, but I did see another runner on the road a couple of mornings. Otherwise there really isn't a great place to run, except along the resort walkways and around the parking lots.

Disney Security will stop you if they find you running along the roadways. You are pretty much limited to the path between Jambo House and Kidani Village (about 1/2 mile) and the parking lots there.

Ditto. I was stopped last year for running.

I'll echo bus or car to DHS and run Epcot/ CL route.

I am a treadmill junkie, are the treadmills at AKL plentiful ? Good quality ? Are there TVs to watch ?
