That's what turned me off. My dad would love one, but it seems cheap or rude to cut the UPC out of the box before I give it to him. So the price for me would actually be $24.

thanks for posting this! picked one up for my FIL....

as for cutting out the UPC, i am going to preload pics onto the frame as part of the gift, so i will rewrap nicely in a different box
