Rumors that Disney is in negotiations to sell Star Wars back to George Lucas!

Well Andor was just nominated for an Emmy and has a 2nd season currently filming. Mando is definitely getting a season 4. Obi Wan was also nominated for an Emmy.

Ahsoka is coming next month, Skelton Crew and The Acolyte next year. Nothing is going away. Not every item on Disney+ is going to be the best streamed thing in ever.

the streaming does not exist in a vacuum all by itself. And viewership is only one part of the 'stream'

Look at all the $$ associated with licensing Grogu ... just one little character ... Imagine all of the revenue from all those dolls, and plush, and T-shirts, and mugs and Loungefly and... Black Series and....and...

Disney makes PLENTY of profit on Star Wars LOL
How have Grogu sales went in the last year? Do you know, because I have seen some numbers that suggest they cratered after original very high demand. People assume Star Wars merchandise is a hot commodity, becuase it was when I we were kids. Go to any Walmart right now and go look for the Star Wars section, and tell me how big it is.

Same for books people assume the high republic sells millions of copies like the Heir to the Empire stuff did, but it's just not true.

Awards are nice and all but reducing in importance each year as the viewing public abandons these awards shows.

Ashoka has lots of potential I think, but if you are banking your future on the Acolyte I have grave concerns. The books are not popular, so I have serious concerns about it translating well to the screen.

Andor never really got me until the season finale after credit trailer.

I mean obviously he is never in real danger being in Rogue One, but great acting and overall story coming together made it worth it.

No plan to re-watch any of it though, which usually is my best test personally.

Ashoka I will be watching closely though-great potential IMO.

Awards are what you measure good television by, not about what's popular.

No one is "banking" the future on the Acolyte. It's not meant to be anything other than a Star Wars story to tell set in an era that hasn't been touched on yet in television or movies.

Well I am still buying plenty of Grogu crap LOL...

Glad to see Andor nominated for an Emmy, but I sure wish some of the actors received nominations, especially Andy Serkis. He was incredible. His arc was so welll done, and well acted. Whole cast were wonderful, especially Fiona Shaw, Genevieve O'Reilly, and S Skarsgard. It wasn't a fun series. It really brings out how terrible and horrible the EMpire is, and the desperation of regular people across the galaxy, and why people were willing to sacrifice so much for the Rebellion. DH and I LOVED it. My SW loving DD, liked it, found it too slow at times. I love slow, plodding movies and miniseries like that though.

Is the record broken? I am having a dejavu of the other 5 times I've seen the forced doom and gloom in this same thread.

Repeat after me ppl: "just because it's not for me, doesn't mean it's bad" some might even benefit from "my opinion is not fact".
Now you repeat after me. Just because you like something has zero bearing on the bulk of Star Wars fans liking it, or it being a commercial success. Just because the echo chamber on here loves the high republic novels, that still doesn’t change the fact that they don’t sell well compared to novelizations that came before them.

Agree with all of these. Fiona Shaw especially during her last monologue. And "never more than twelve" shot up to my top Star Wars lines ever.
