Rumors that Disney is in negotiations to sell Star Wars back to George Lucas!

if Maul can come back from being cut in half... then why not Padme from sadness? Yeah her story arc sucked at the end, from being so strong to becoming so pathetic. There were so many ways her story could have/should have been finished better.... and making for a more realistic Anakin>>Vader transformation.
There was some stuff in the Return of the Jedi novelization that implied Luke and Leia's mother survived. There's an extended conversation between Obi-Wan and Luke where Obi-Wan says "when your father left, he didn't know your mother was pregnant." There's also a part where Leia remembers hiding in a trunk. And of course the line about Leia remembering her mother in the movie. Because of all that, I always assumed Padme would survive after Vader got in the suit, go into hiding with Leia, and send Luke with Obi-Wan. Then Vader would find her later on. Alas, George decided it was easier to just kill her.

Those books have always been for sale? They never went out of print? What a weird comment.
There has been a resurgence in sales after they were deemed non-cannon. Basically they sold a ton more after people saw that Lucasfilm was deeming them not part of the official story.

The highest selling single book in the high republic is like less than 200,000 total copies sold, will all than came after dropping off significantly.

What's not easy to understand here? The Heir to the Empire stuff is really popular and the High Republic is not.

Or Reva, she has been skewered with a lightsaber so much, that the effectiveness of a lightsaber as a weapon is now called into question. If she can be continuously stabbed and survive, Padme can shake off a little post partem depression.

she got stabbed once as I recollect. Same with the Inquisitor. A lightsaber is not perfect. As someone who teaches anatomy.. location. location, location matters in more than just real estate. Amazing sometimes what people can get impaled with in real life and survive... never mind in a fantasy world and with a clean cauterization.

Twice and once by Vader at the end that she survived. You know Vader is such a terrible assassin as his blade just cuts all willy nilly with no intent to cause mortal injuries.

Meh... more like cat playing with a mouse comes to mind. Vader likes playing with his prey first.

She didn't live because the strike wasn't on-point, she lived because Sith can use their hatred to sustain themselves, even after crippling/mortal injuries. That's how Maul survived. That's how Annakin survived. There are limits of course, but it has more to do with The Force than biology/anatomy.

had to rewatch LOL, Vader's blow was a shoulder strike. But I agree. the 'good' ones dont really come back, not without some force life suck/transfer. Hatred and connection to the dark side is very helpful in sustaining life after "death"... also a bacta tank some bionics dont hurt either....

Right, if they get help quickly enough, then they can survive. Maul survived being cut in half because he wanted revenge so badly. He was sustained until the droids gave him his spider-legs and was fine.

Started Andor last night, but got interrupted before the first episode was finished. It looks incredible for sure, so I get why everyone was saying that now. Only thing I will say is that so far it feels like a random SciFi show that doesn't necessarily feel like Star Wars so far.

Why does everyone think no one watched this series? Fatigue from all the prior bad content (Mando 3, BOB, and Obi Wan)?

Well, Andor came out before Mando S3, but honestly, I think it's the name. Nobody knows who that character is. I think they should have called it something like, "Star Wars: Rise of the Rebellion," or "Star Wars: Rogue Zero."

Also, I have a bone to pick with Disney+. I created my own profile last night after years of just using my wife's viewing profile. Went to pick my Avatar and had to go with Yoda as there was no option for Luke. So Reva is an available avatar but no Grand Master Jedi Luke Freaking Skywalker? WTH?

Saw some data that suggested Mando 3 had viewership that was 1/2 of what the first two seasons were. Why do you think the luster is coming off of Mando for the fans?

Star Wars: Mon Mothma is in this and is freaking awesome. "Smile!"

Meh... I am someone who watched and enjoyed it I cannot speak to luster coming off., as did the rest of my family.. VERY excited for the next season. Rating and what other people think matters little to me. I watch what I enjoy and could care less if someone else "likes it"

Besides lately it seems that the gatekeeping nitpickers are more fashionable than ever, and that is a real yuck, so I usually tune out whenever that kind of 'talk' starts gertting too much

While I understand what you mean and can respect that, it does matter what drives overall viewership and merchandise sales and such. Large viewership numbers drive profit, and last time I checked Disney wants to make profit on Star Wars.

If something isn't profitable what justification does Disney have to want to make more of it? We don't want Star Wars to go away completely do we?

Andor = very low viewership on Disney+
Willow = low viewership on Disney+ and removed as a tax right down
Mando Season 3 = 1/2 the viewership of prior seasons
Indy 5 = Set to lose 300-400 million dollars in the box office

Those are the last 4 things Lucasfilm has done right?

the streaming does not exist in a vacuum all by itself. And viewership is only one part of the 'stream'

Look at all the $$ associated with licensing Grogu ... just one little character ... Imagine all of the revenue from all those dolls, and plush, and T-shirts, and mugs and Loungefly and Black Series and....and...

Disney makes PLENTY of profit on Star Wars LOL

I dont get the negativity I think your numbers are way off and a bit of doom and gloom but oh well, my opinion matters not... just more hot air.

And yes Andor is amazing... Luthien is an awesome character
