What she said was entirely correct. White men weren't the target audience for that movie, so why were they the main ones reviewing it?She was overpowered, and she had the unlucky distinction of having Brie Larson as her actress. Brie said some stuff about "a wrinkle in time" that just made her poison to most men ever liking her. She basically told white men her movies are not for them, and they are giving her just that. Also she was late to the party after people had a long time with all the other avengers, she was therefore hard for people to accept over the original Avengers.
"[Audiences] are not allowed enough chances to read public discourse on these films by the people that the films were made for. I do not need a 40-year-old white dude to tell me what didn't work for him about A Wrinkle in Time. It wasn't made for him. I want to know what it meant to women of colour, to biracial women, to teen women of colour, to teens that are biracial."
